With soft, enveloping, versatile and restful designs: the latest trends celebrate sophisticated solutions with refined aesthetics, always with an eye to sustainability

Keyword: comfort. This is the distinctive feature of the latest armchairs presented at the Salone del Mobile.Milano. Sculptural and enveloping forms, capable of endowing any home interior with a character, are combined with versatile solutions designed for living freely in your comfort zone. Great care has been paid to the study of ergonomics and the choice of materials, which are increasingly well-suited to a range of different settings, in full respect of the environment.

Like Trench from Acerbis, which embodies Philippe Malouin's vision: a collection that reinterprets the concept of upholstered seating through new proportions and a minimalist aesthetic. Its pure, almost primordial form has a sculptural presence that surprises by its exceptional comfort. This armchair achieves a refined sense of visual lightness, accentuated by a structure that appears suspended off the ground. The armrests, available in fixed versions or as independent supports, can be positioned freely, offering a customizable, made-to-measure experience of comfort.

Tulip F550 is a true classic from Artifort, designed by Pierre Paulin. A perfect synthesis of elegance, comfort and innovation, this lounge chair stands out by its versatility and impeccable ergonomics. Inspired by the petals of a tulip, its sculptural form gently welcomes the body, offering an enveloping and comfortable seating experience. Generous layers of foam increase its softness, ensuring the maximum comfort.

Villhem by Blå Station is a versatile modular armchair equipped with a compression-molded wooden shell. The armrest can be configured with optional padding, as well as the seat, backrest and head-support cushion, which can be added individually or in combination, as desired. It is also available in the Supersoft version, with an internal steel structure, nozag springing and rich leather-covered padding for superior comfort.

The enveloping Donald armchair from Cierre 1972, designed by Marco Fumagalli. The spacious, upholstered seat is designed to offer the utmost in comfort. The impeccable stitching and decorative straps are not just a refined aesthetic detail, but also a perfect meeting point between design and functionality, elegantly supporting the seat on the solid wooden frame. The crossed legs give a graphic and contemporary touch, creating a harmonious balance between visual lightness and structural strength.

Connubia presents Tender, the new armchair designed by Michele Menescardi, in a special edition created in collaboration with the well-known technical sportswear brand Jaked. Upholstered in 100% recycled polyester, Tender brings sporty specifications to home decor, blending functionality, aesthetics and concern for the environment in a single product. The frameless structure, combined with the wide range of fabrics in the sample book, enhances its practicality and sustainability. Lightweight and easy to move, thanks to the built-in rear handle, it is an armchair designed to adapt easily to contemporary lifestyles.

Light and comfortable, Bio by Gemla Fabrikers is inspired by the company's tradition in the production of cinema seats in the early twentieth century. Made of solid ash, it stands out by its hand-bent one-piece armrest, precisely shaped to create an enveloping and harmonious curve. The back, light but carefully structured, secures maximum comfort thanks to the rich padding covered in natural fabrics. It is available in a hard or stained wax-oil finish, with vegetable tanned leather or fabric upholstery, available in a range of variants.

The Demonte Moi armchair, designed by Paola Nesi, has a dynamic, playful appearance. Made up of four separate elements, it is designed to reinvent its look whenever you want. The sectional and completely removable structure makes it practical, easy to reupholster and customizable across an endless range of colors. Delivered with four interchangeable linings - in fuchsia, powder pink, purple and yellow - this element adapts with elegance and versatility to any interior, bringing a touch of color.

With a wraparound design inspired by the Mid-Century aesthetic, the Owen armchair from Poliform, designed by Jean-Marie Massaud, combines elegance with innovation. The wooden base supports upholstered elements with organic and sartorial lines  derived from the world of haute couture. The absolute standout feature is the back, which wraps around itself like a Moebius ribbon to turn into an armrest while shaping a sculptural gesture. Perfectly poised between classicism and contemporaneity, Owen redefines the concept of the upholstered armchair with its timeless styling.

Vibe by Sancal was created as a tribute to the first sectional units designed by the company's founder, Santiago Castaño, in the mid-seventies. With small dimensions and soft, rounded forms, it embodies a contemporary reinterpretation of that design heritage. The upholstery is distinguished by unique oversized quilting on the seat and back, designed to emphasize its comfort. A distinctive feature is the metal structure that starts from the floor and extends to the rear of the backrest with an undulating, dynamic line. This graphic sign endows the chair with character and can be lacquered in any shade from the Sancal range.

Finally, the Diffrient Lounge  armchair from Humanscale is an invitation to relax thanks to its cocoon shape, reclining position and matching footrest. The addition of a small integrated table, designed to accommodate electronic devices, transforms the armchair into a versatile workstation, free from the rigidity of the traditional desk. The jointed backrest and headrest also support different postures for maximum comfort.
