The Salone del Mobile.Milano 2026 confirms its role as the showpiece event for the global design community. Scheduled from 21 to 26 April at the Milan Rho exhibition centre, this edition marks the return of the biennials devoted to the kitchen and bathroom sectors and introduces new exhibition projects exploring fine craftsmanship, collectible design and much more.
Ample space will be devoted to sustainability, with a rich program of installations and a public program curated by Annalisa Rosso. Fiera Milano offers accessorized routes and dedicated services to ensure full accessibility for people with disabilities or reduced mobility.

Events in 2026
The 64th edition occupies a net surface area of over 169,000 square meters and features than 1,900 exhibitors. In addition to the Salone Internazionale del Mobile and the Salone del Complemento d’Arredo, this year sees the return of the biennials:
- EuroCucina / FTK – Technology For the Kitchen: the focus is on efficiency and sustainability in the kitchen (Pavilions 2-4)
- International Bathroom Exhibition: bringing the latest innovations for well-being and material innovation (Pavilions 6-10)
- SaloneSatellite: dedicated to talents under 35, with the theme “Craftsmanship + Innovation” (Pavilions 5-7)
The novelties: Salone Raritas, Salone Contract, the installation “Aurea, an Architectural Fiction”
One of the great innovations of 2026 is Salone Raritas (Pavilion 9), a project curated by Annalisa Rosso with exhibition design by Formafantasma, presenting limited edition design, one-off pieces and high creative manufacturing.
In addition, the event will feature the new approach to the Salone Contract, with a Masterplan entrusted to Rem Koolhaas and David Gianotten (OMA), anticipating the new structure scheduled to officially make its debut in 2027.
At the heart of the itinerary “A Luxury Way” in Pavilions 13-15, Maison Numéro 20, the Parisian studio founded by Oscar Lucien Ono, designs an immersive and narrative installation that reinvents the codes of luxury and hospitality as a theatrical and sensuous experience

How to reach us
The Salone can be reached easily and sustainably by public transport (Metro Line M1 Red, stop Rho Fiera Milano), by airport connections and by high-speed and suburban trains that stop directly at the Rho Fiera railway station. For those arriving by car, parking spaces are available close to the trade fair centre.
Frecciarossa, the high-speed train operated by Trenitalia (FS Italiane Group), will be the official train of the Salone 2026. Thanks to the Special Events offer, those who choose to travel to Milan by Le Frecce trains will receive discounts of up to 75% on the basic fare by using the code “SALONEMOBILE” at the moment of purchase. In addition, by choosing the “tiRimborso” option at a cost of 2 euros, you can request a refund of the ticket until midnight of the second day before departure with a 10% deduction. Tickets for Le Frecce trains can be purchased by using the Trenitalia App, at ticket offices and authorized travel agencies, or on the Trenitalia.com website.
The partnership with Trenord is back! From April 21st to 26th, a special DayPass is available for €10. This single ticket includes round-trip travel from any station in Lombardy to Rho Fiera and Milan. Children under 14 travel for free when accompanied by an adult pass holder. Purchasable until April 26th, the pass also allows you to accumulate Trenord Green Points.
The partnership between Salone del Mobile and BusForFun is renewed: from 21 to 26 April, free shuttles will be connecting Malpensa T1 and Fiera Milano. The service is reserved for visitors with reservations required on the BusForFun platform, using the code SALONEMILANO2026. Comfort and sustainability.
For the second year running, Salone is supporting the platform Mito Design Connection, promoted by Industrial Union of Turin and the Turin Chamber of Commerce to promote relations between companies based in Turin and Milan and provide logistical support and hospitality for exhibitors and visitors. The platform offers hotel reservations and support in organizing travel between Turin Porta Susa and Rho Fiera.
Are you a student and would you like to take part in the 2026 Salone del Mobile? The City of Milan is promoting MaaS4Italy, an initiative supported by the PNRR that promotes Mobility as a Service (MaaS), an innovative mobility concept involving the integration of multiple public and private transport services accessible via a single digital platform. Through integrated mobility apps, users can plan, book and pay for their journeys by combining public transport, car-sharing and other mobility services using a single platform and ticket.
Taxi-sharing at Fiera Milano. At each entrance gate to Fiera Milano (East, South and West) there will be a staffed taxi stand directed by a coordinator responsible for ensuring travellers join the queue, while managing taxi boarding in an orderly way and summoning taxis from the various dispatch centres.
Electric Car-Charging for Visitors at Fiera Milano (Park P4 car park). Eight charging stations are available for electric cars: six Quick columns (22kW for recharging in several hours) and 2 two fast-charge columns (75kW, for recharging in 20/30 minutes) at the Park P4 outdoor car park (managed by APCOA);
To use the service, you need to purchase your parking space in the P4 car park on the portal and then book the service on the APP Evway.

Again this year the Salone del Mobile.Milano has renewed its partnership with MiCodmc, enabling it to offer an exclusive service to identify hotels to stay at during the event at discounted prices.

Must-see events at Salone 2026
- Salone Contract was created to open up the Salone system to the scale of large integrated projects. Its aim is to strengthen the presence of the supply chain in high-growth sectors such as hospitality, real estate, public spaces and marine, contexts that require new skills and new tools for access and collaboration. At the core of the 2026 spin-off will be the first day of the International Forum, featuring a lecture by Rem Koolhaas and the public presentation of the 2027 Masterplan, developed with David Gianotten of OMA.
- Salone Raritas. Curated icons, unique objects, and outsider pieces, taking place in Pavilion 9, will open up an “architectural lantern” onto a parallel universe, bringing collectible one-off objects into focus. With 28 exhibitors and an international constellation including galleries such as NILUFAR, Salviati x Draga & Aurel, Mouromtsev Design Editions, Mercado Moderno, PARASITE 2.0 x BIANCO67 and Brun Fine Arts, the new platform is curated by Annalisa Rosso, Editorial Director & Cultural Events Advisor of the Salone del Mobile.Milano, with exhibition design by Formafantasma.
- Aurea, an Architectural Fiction, designed by the Paris-based studio Maison Numéro 20, led by interior architect Oscar Lucien Ono, is an imaginary hotel conceived as a sequence of narrative spaces, offering a reflection on luxury as a balance of measure, sensitivity and awareness.
- In April’s Public Programme, ‘Drafting Futures. Conversations about Next Perspectives’, curated by Annalisa Rosso, reaches its fourth edition and continues, in the arena designed by Formafantasma, as a platform for discussion on the most pressing issues relating to innovation, sustainability and new market prospects.
- Next Gen at Work is a talk marathon organised into three thematic sessions, featuring the direct involvement of professionals from across the supply chain, offering first-hand insights into the diversity of roles that shape and define the design and furniture industry. The event – promoted by Green Design Days, an Assarredo (FederlegnoArredo) project – is scheduled for Friday 24 April 2026, starting at 12:00 pm, at the SaloneSatellite Arena (Pavilion 7, Fiera Milano Rho).
- ABITO, the exhibition organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and curated by Palomba Serafini Associati, interweaving fashion and design to illustrate, through objects and garments, how society is changing and, the way we live and inhabit our spaces.
- The exhibition MADE IN MiC, whose core will be the Archetypes section: a tribute to applied arts and proto-design between 1900 and 1945, when art entered interiors and transformed their language, architecture engaged with objects and the domestic scale, and craftsmanship evolved toward more structured forms of production.
- THE CHAIN OF WONDERS: an exhibition celebrating the history and identity of FederlegnoArredo, curated by Beppe Finessi, the exhibition will trace the history of the wood and furniture sector, highlighting its central role in shaping Italy’s industrial and cultural identity, starting with the commemorative stamp marking the federation’s 80th anniversary.
In Milan, the city of the Salone
- On 24 April, Common Archive – La Notte Bianca del Progetto – an initiative organised by the Osservatorio del Salone del Mobile.Milano, supported by the Lombardy Region and the Municipality of Milan– will host a series of events across the city. For one evening, coming together for the first time, Milan’s historical design and architecture archives will open their doors to the public with a programme of over 50 guided tours and talks, highlighting a wealth of knowledge that belongs to the city but speaks to the world.
- From 17th to 26th April, the Design Kiosk will be back in Piazza della Scala, with a programme of conversations curated by Reading Room focusing on independent publishing and its contemporary evolutions.
- In Piazza Sant'Eustorgio, a newsstand entirely dedicated to the event will become the starting point for an urban itinerary put together by Bianca Felicori, founder of Forgotten Architecture. The project, developed for the Salone, will invite people to cross the city by touching five emblematic buildings of the 20th century, in partnership with K-Way.
