The Salone del Mobile chooses K-Way as its Official Fashion Partner in the name of innovation and design culture. At the heart of this collaboration is the newsstand in Piazza del Duomo, a space dedicated to the launch of the exclusive “A Matter of Salone” collection and the itinerary curated by Forgotten Architecture
The partnership with K-Way, the iconic Parisian brand founded in 1965 thanks to an idea Léon-Claude Duhamel had during a stormy day, was born with the aim of strengthening a valuable community. The project targets an influential and knowledgeable audience, capable of combining design culture with strong creative flair and constant curiosity for innovation.
K-Way represents quintessential rainwear: classic, contemporary, technological, and functional. Salone del Mobile and K-Way have a profound connection based on shared values tied to meaningful design and urban mobility.
Milan, home to Salone del Mobile, is also an ideal stage where transformations in urban mobility play out. The city is a scenario where design becomes an essential tool to drive change. Lightweight, compact, and versatile, a K-Way jacket is the perfect companion for any journey: a raincoat you can always carry with you, a true piece of portable architecture.
The synergy draws on the vision of Bianca Felicori, researcher, author, and founder of Forgotten Architecture. Launched in 2019 as a Facebook community to rediscover forgotten architectural works, the project stands today as an international reference point – encompassing years of research and a valuable collection of photographs, documents, and drawings from private archives, institutions, and professional studios.
Today, Forgotten Architecture curates a selection of Milan’s most iconic and significant buildings: a journey to rediscover the vision of the great masters. The narrative unfolds through a series of photographs in which architecture interacts with lightweight K-Way nylon structures. These installations resemble kites and evoke concepts of movement and protection, celebrating the profound connection between the brand, the urban environment, and the spirit of exploration.
The itinerary will be collected in a free booklet, available at the two K-Way flagship stores in Milan and in an exclusive space: a newsstand in Piazza del Duomo, curated by Salone in collaboration with the brand. Alongside a selection of trade magazines, the newsstand will feature the “A Matter of Salone” capsule collection, produced in collaboration with K-Way and tied to the 2026 campaign. This includes a K-Way jacket, a t-shirt, a bag, and a baseball cap, which can also be purchased online on the brand’s official website.
