During the April edition of the Salone del Mobile.Milano 2024, scheduled from Tuesday 16 to Sunday 21, pavilions 1/3 and 5/7 will be distinguished by an exclusive selection of companies that make the balance between design and construction quality their identity. They will be showcasing innovations that combine detailed aesthetics with a cost-conscious focus. In addition, a focus on sustainability across the whole value chain. These innovative proposals are embedded in sustainable spaces, to meet the needs of modern consumers increasingly attentive and aware in their purchasing choices.
Pavilions 1/3 and 5/7 will host both companies with an international profile and companies representing Italian manufacturing excellence, in a balanced mix of craftsmanship, manufacturing tradition, advanced technologies and customized processes. Made in Italy is a veritable strategic asset, an element of strength and development as well as a fundamental catalyst in the progress of the design industry. It occupies an important position in the furniture-design chain, very carefully combining craft skills with research into technology.
Pavilions 1/3 and 5/7 will host, among others, companies such as Alf DaFrè, Calia Italia, Tomasella, Mobilificio Sangiacomo, Calligaris, Egoitaliano, Gamma Arredamenti International, Chateau d'Ax and Koinor, showcasing their design talent and industrial excellence.
Pavilions 5/7 will be the setting for the most important cultural event at the fair. For the first time, they will host a site-specific installation created by an important stage director and artist of international renown: a precious contribution that will enrich experience of the visit by making it unique. A reflection in depth close to the themes intrinsic to the DNA of the Salone del Mobile, ranging from the forms of home living to the evolution of spaces, as reflections of changes in society.
The SaloneSatellite, a springboard for young designers under 35, will be the showpiece of pavilions 5/7. The event founded and curated by Marva Griffin Wilshire will celebrate its first 25 years with a special edition and a major exhibition in the city at Triennale Milano, from 16 to 28 April 2024, which will recount the universe and the protagonists of the trade show. An unmissable cultural event that will focus on a quarter of a century marked by great social, economic and environmental changes, in which the Salone del Mobile has continuously provided valuable guidance to the significance of innovation in the future.
