The second edition of the competition announced by the Embassy of Italy in the Republic of Belarus in Minsk. Discover the most promising works
To mark Italian Design Day 2025, the Italian Embassy in the Republic of Belarus in Minsk, in synergy with its partner New Studio and a shortlist of sponsors, organized the second edition of a design competition for budding designers, with the purpose of stimulating the local creative scene and promoting the culture of Italian design, with a particular interest in the Salone del Mobile.Milano.
The initiative represented a unique opportunity for young designers, involving 48 participants invited to create projects for furniture and furnishing accessories incorporating distinctive features of modern Italian design.
At the close of the submissions phase, the jury consisting of Natalia Galonskaya, interior designer, Aleksandr Kratovich, architect, Aleksandr Pugachov, dealer of major Italian brands, and Ales Cherniavsky, industrial designer, identified a shortlist of works: three for the theme of seating, three for furniture, three for furnishing accessories and three for the category reserved for students. To these was added a Special Prize, awarded to a project considered of particular originality.
The award ceremony is to be held very soon in conjunction with Marco Sammicheli, Director of the Triennale Design Museum, and with all eyes on Salone 2025.
