At the Salone del Mobile, the Tuscan company presents an exhibition project that reflects an evolution already underway: from the kitchen as product to ideas for the whole living space

Not just kitchens. This, in a nutshell, is the direction Stosa is taking as it presents itself at the Salone del Mobile 2026. The Tuscan company, active since 1964 and today one of the leading Italian manufacturers in the sector, is featuring an exhibition project at the fair that reflects an evolution already underway for some years: from being a manufacturer of kitchens to an interpreter of the larger domestic space, in which furnishings, materials and surfaces dialogue seamlessly between the kitchen, living room and dining area. The stand – 1400 square meters with a sensuous and natural language – will accompany the visitor through interiors designed not as isolated compositions but fragments of a single way of living. Among its innovations is the stylistic and structural development of Evolution: an open, modular system characteristic of Stosa, expressing the company’s ability to develop real solutions capable of adapting to various aesthetic idioms and configurations. “Not just a kitchen, but solutions for the whole living space and transversal furnishing proposals, increasingly in keeping with the evolution of the market,” the company explains. “The boundary between kitchen and living room has become increasingly fluid, leading the sector towards increasingly integrated designs.”

This design ambition rests on solid foundations: a family history that has acquired an industrial scale. Founded in 1964 by Maurizio Sani at Radicofani, in the heart of Tuscany, Stosa is now headed by the second generation and produces entirely in Italy in its facility of 80,000 square meters, with eight production lines. In 2025, the company exceeded 200 million euros in turnover for the first time, with a growth of 8% and positive results both in Italy and on international markets, being present in over 80 countries. “Beyond the numbers, 2025 represented above all an important step in the company’s evolution,” Stosa says. “The goal is to become established as a brand capable of combining design, industrial quality and a highly competitive offering.” This work on positioning also involves the system that surrounds the product. The network of Stosa Stores – showrooms designed in-house by the company – is an integral part of the strategy. “We have worked to make the showrooms, communications and sales tools increasingly consistent with each other, with the aim of strengthening the customer experience.”

Sustainability deserves a chapter apart. For too many companies it remains an accessory, while for Stosa it is already an infrastructure, and a way of conceiving design even before communicating it. The company was among the first in the sector to obtain FSC certification for a mass-produced kitchen, it published its sustainability report according to GRI standards – the first in the sector to do so – and launched the Stosa Green Park, a new-generation production hub designed with respect for the landscape and the environment. In March 2026, further confirmation arrived: the Sustainability Report Award promoted by Corriere della Sera – Buone Notizie, in which Stosa was the only company in the kitchen sector selected from 252 companies taking part. An award that honors not only the environmental commitment – energy saving, reduction of emissions – but also its social purpose: improving working conditions and its relationship with the community in which the company operates.

Looking ahead, Stosa has launched an industrial development plan that will extend until 2028 and includes significant interventions in plant innovation, mechanization and automation of some phases of production. “For a company like Stosa, operating in a segment where customization and industrial volumes have to coexist, the technological evolution of processes is a fundamental strategic lever,” the company explains. At the same time, the expansion of the retail network will continue, in Italy and abroad, favoring partners with strong entrepreneurial skills and solid design expertise.

For over sixty years, Stosa has been transforming a domestic environment into a life project. Today this vision extends to the entire living space. Each project becomes an expression of home living, where functionality, aesthetics and identity meet in a balance designed to endure over time.
