For Salone del Mobile 2026, Marc Ange creates for Visionnaire a trilogy of sculptural objects: forms between the familiar and the unknown, where matter and emotion merge into presences both architectural and intimate.
Sfogliatella appears as a silent organism emerging from stone. Layer by layer, a body folds into itself, holding a hidden glow. The material seems to breathe, as if something rests within: neither animal nor vegetal, but suspended in a quiet state of transformation. Light pulses from within the volume—contained yet alive. The object evokes metamorphosis: the оболve as preparation, darkness as gestation, stone as the keeper of light. Sfogliatella carries a name from elsewhere, from another time, where layers held sweetness and mystery alike. Here, the reference becomes abstract, emotional, tactile. The lamp is not merely a source of light, but a living fragment of architecture—intimate, protective, and quietly luminous.
