The Italian company enhances the beauty of the interiors of The Ritz-Carlton residential complex, designed in Miami by Piero Lissoni, with the pure, refined lines of its contract furnishings

Facing the Miami waterfront, The Ritz-Carlton Residences is a project designed by Piero Lissoni that stands out by its clean lines, the refinement of its stylistic choices and that understatement always dear to the Milanese architect, who defines luxury as the ability to combine simplicity, complexity and elegance.

Laid out as 111 home units with 36 private moorings, eight independent villas and seven garden villas, the Ritz-Carlton’s interior design embraces typically Italian craftsmanship and savoir vivre. Living Divani, a brand internationally known for the sartorial spirit and minimalist silhouettes of its furnishings heightens the beauty of the interiors by the choice of incisive, restrained contemporary design pieces.  The brand of Anzano del Parco is perfectly oriented towards the contract sector, where quality, technical specifications and the potential for customization mean that the company is already present worldwide in all fields: offices, banks, airports, hotels, waiting spaces, museums, restaurants, showrooms, recreational yachting and the fashion system. “We have been devoted to Contract for 15 years, with it accounting for 10% of our total revenues, unchanged over the years,” says Carola Bestetti, CEO of Living Divani, and adds: “Our debut was in hospitality, which over time has enabled us to enter elegant and exclusive spaces around the world, responding to multiple needs with our indoor and outdoor furniture.”

From the living areas to the lobbies, from the cinema room to the game room and the large terraces overlooking the sea: in the setting of The Ritz-Carlton in Miami there is a varied selection of upholstery, such as the Extrasoft modular sofa, fluffy and with nuanced outlines, a supreme bestseller, and the Rodwood sofa with geometric lines and vintage tones. Sofas like Frog, always timely with its formal lightness, and Sdraio, in wood and leather, furnish the living areas together with the Ile Table and B2 coffee tables, with sheer, minimalist lines, together with the spacious Track benches and the Anin stools. And in the outdoor spaces the soft Filo Outdoor sofa completes the picture, with its exposed Iroko wooden frame.

The products in the Living Divani catalogue can be customized to develop tailored solutions in terms of formal and material research. “I believe that the contract sector has had a remarkable evolution. Attention is increasingly being lavished on developing the different areas that compose a project, in both functional and aesthetic terms, from communal to private areas, such as hotel rooms, work spaces and restaurants,” continues the CEO, who stresses: “It is now essential for every piece of furniture included in the project to be capable of satisfying the client completely. For this reason, companies need to innovate, be competitive on an international scale and stand out by the high value of the project itself, as well as the product.”

Starting from hôtellerie, new scenarios have opened up for Living Divani in the contract sector, both in catering – from “Vivilo” in Palazzo Barboglio De Gaioncelli in Franciacorta to “Glam” in Venice, headed by chef Enrico Bartolini – and in leisure boating where, in addition to private watercraft, the company has begun to furnish cruise ships. On the level of markets, CEO Bestetti says: “In the USA we have developed really significant projects, while recently we have worked in other countries where we are not already necessarily present at the distribution level. Meanwhile in Italy we continue to work across a broad range of areas.”

The contract sector means much more than product supply: it is above all an operating mode, in which the creation of whole projects has to be combined with know-how, programming and a high percentage of services. “The company has to be flexible, reliable, attentive to a perfect service to the customer, while ensuring the maximum punctuality,” explains the CEO. “Living Divani carries out both the creative phase and the choice of leathers and fabrics, cutting, sewing, assembly and composition, with an almost craft-based approach.” The management of the whole process through integrated services – from  the phases of assembly to after-sales assistance – makes the Como-based company a partner in the creation even of highly complex furnishing projects. “The flexibility of the internal structure guarantees a capacity for rapid response and lean management of the design phase and logistics, absolutely  indispensable in this sector,” concludes Carola Bestetti.
