Here are the details SaloneSatellite 2025 returns from 8 to 13 April for the 63rd edition of the Salone del Mobile.Milano, and officially opens registration for all designers under 35. For the event devoted to young designers founded and curated by Marva Griffin Wilshire, 2024 was an important year. A year of celebrations for the 25th anniversary of this unmissable event, with an edition that attracted 600 participants from 36 countries and 22 international Design Schools and Universities from 14 countries. The edition just ended had the theme “Connecting Design since 1998”. “Unbelievable, 25 years!” said Marva Griffin Wilshire. “I feel like it was only yesterday that Manlio Armellini – CEO of Cosmit at the time – after our conversations about young designers, entrusted me with the task of organizing an event devoted to them on the trade fair site.” Then there was also the SaloneSatellite Award, which rewards and incentivizes the most deserving designers. The jury of industry experts chaired by Paola Antonelli, Senior Curator at the Department of Architecture and Design of the MoMA (New York), presented the awards to Studio Ololoo, architect Filippo Andrighetto and Egoundesign studio. Then, to retrace the history of this unique event for discovered connections, Triennale Milano hosted a major exhibition curated by two professionals who, together with Marva Griffin Wilshire, have already celebrated their 10th anniversary (with the exhibition “Avverati. A Dream Come True”, Fiera Milano, Rho, 2007) and 20th anniversary (“SaloneSatellite 20 Years of New Creativity”, Fabbrica del Vapore, 2017). They are Beppe Finessi and Ricardo Bello Dias, who with his studio has also designed the exhibition displays ever since the first edition. The exhibition was open to the public at the Salone del Mobile from 16 to 28 April, with graphic design by studio òbelo (Claude Marzotto and Maia Sambonet).
