Up, designed in 2008 by Giuseppe Viganò, is not just a sofa, but one of the most significant symbols of the company’s design research journey.
Elegant and defined by solid volumes, it responds with a gesture as simple as it is innovative to one of the most complex choices when purchasing a sofa: the height of the backrest.
Up appears modern and linear when the back cushions rest on the seat; unexpectedly, it becomes exceptionally comfortable when the movable cushion section is raised, offering a more enveloping and relaxing experience.
Nearly twenty years after its debut, Up enters a new phase, redefining its profiles while remaining true to the identity of the original design.
The volumes are reimagined through new modular elements, with curved corners and end units free of visible separations between the seat and the structure, for an even more fluid and contemporary aesthetic.
A timeless sofa, Up-Grade deserves, echoing the words of Dino Gavina, to be considered modern because worthy of becoming classic.
