By removing the rigid structure of traditional seating, BITMAP encourages a more natural, adaptable way to engage with space—whether alone or in a group. It’s about flexibility, play, and rethinking how we inhabit our environments.
This sofa stands out for its sculptural shape, generated by the union of two rectangular volumes — one main and one more compact — welded along one side. The smaller volume appears to be suspended, almost levitating, introducing an element of surprise. Multifunctional and accessible from every direction, it can become a surface for support, an armrest, or an additional seat. Although presented as a single object, the design is intended to be replicated and combined: multiple elements can be placed together in modular layouts, creating meeting points and encouraging communication in multiple directions: side by side, face to face, or diagonally, thus redefining the dynamics of the space.
