SEI stems from an explicit technical feature – 6 millimetres – and, starting from this measurement, builds a system in which precision and material operate with continuity.
In the version presented at 2026 EuroCucina, SEI is configured as a compact volume, defined by a rigorous arrangement and strong constructive coherence. The stainless steel surfaces, in various material interpretations, dialogue with the seamless finish of the doors, while details – from the Brunito stainless steel screws to the automated, pop-up counterback module with accessories – are not concealed, but integrated into the design narrative. Technique is not hidden but made legible. And it is precisely in this clarity that SEI builds its intensity.
French, born in Austria, Italian by adoption, one of the first students to graduate from the “esthétique industrielle” course at the ENSAD in Paris, Marc Sadler is a pioneer in experimenting with materials and in mixing different technologies, both of which have become distinctive traits of his work as an industrial designer. In the early 70s he creates the first ski boot made of fully-recyclable thermoplastic material that is then industrialised by the Italian Caber company. Nowadays, he is acknowledged as an eclectic designer capable of combining style, functionality and competitiveness to the benefit of companies working in very diverse industrial fields. A 4-time Compasso d’Oro award winner, he has received 4 Mentions of Honour from the ADI Industrial Design Association as well as many important international acknowledgements over the years.
