The furniture industry doubles in volume between 2000 and 2021

According to the World Furniture Outlook 2021 report presented by the Centre for Industrial Studies, and featured in the January edition of DNN, “the furniture industry doubled in volume between 2000 and 2021, reaching a global volume of around 5,000 million dollars, which will be exceeded in 2022. The pandemic has had a very limited effect on the furnishing market, probably due to the fact that homes have played a leading role throughout this lengthy period. Furniture sales were driven by the extended time we were forced to spend at home, and this has enabled the entire segment to recover and return to pre-Covid levels very quickly" (read here the complete article)
