GRAFFETTA | Design Carlo Colombo
Soft in form, essential in line.
With Grafetta, LEMA transforms a continuous gesture into an object: a single line bending through space, both light and resolute.
The tubular steel frame, an immediate reference to the paper clip, traces a fluid outline that embraces, protects, and invites rest. The soft, generous cushions interact with the linear precision of the metal, blending firmness and comfort in a natural balance.
Invented at the end of the nineteenth century, the paper clip became a symbol of ingenuity and the ability to connect what seems separate. In the same way, the armchair brings together aesthetics and function, precision and ease, becoming a small piece of domestic architecture. The seat is an invitation to pause, to slow down and hold a moment: a space where the body finds support and the mind is free to wander. Each element responds to the other naturally, like a single gesture unfolding over time. The construction highlights the continuity of the line and the precision of the design, while the generous padding ensures support and softness without ever interrupting the purity of the structure.
