Light for Spaces10th – 11th AprilThe Forest of Space Arena by Sou Fujimoto Directed by Annalisa Rosso, in collaboration with APILEuroluce, Fiera Milano, Rho (Pav. 2) The Euroluce International Lighting Forum, directed by Annalisa Rosso with the collaboration of APIL: 10 and 11 April, 6 masterclasses, 2 round tables and 2 workshops hosted in The Forest of Space Arena (pav. 2), designed by Japanese architect Sou Fujimoto, creator of the Grand Ring, a wooden structure with a circumference of 2km that will surround the national pavilions of the countries present at Expo 2025 Osaka. At Euroluce, The Forest of Space Arena, a project curated by VIV Arts, will be built with natural pine beams arranged vertically, drawing inspiration from the organic vitality of forests. The event will be held under the title Light for Life. Light for Spaces, master classes, round tables and workshops will be held. These will be led by twenty international speakers, including lighting designers, architects, artists, set designers, scientists, biologists, anthropologists, astronomers and psychologists. These speakers have been invited to share their visions, insights, research and design practices. The aim is to stimulate a deeper understanding of the future of lighting. Light will thus be addressed not only in its technological potential, but also through an anthropological and philosophical reflection to understand what will guide its design in the inhabited space of tomorrow. Architects registered with CNAPPC (Italian National Council of Architects, Planners, Landscapers and Conservationists) can obtain 10 CFPs by participating in The Euroluce International Lighting Forum (5 CFPs for Thursday 10 and 5 CFPs for Friday 11). Access is free with the entrance ticket to the Salone del Mobile. For the recognition of credits, pre-registration is recommended.10th April | Light for Life11th April | Light for Spaces To stay informed on the Forum's agenda, log in to your account or register Check out the full programme 10th April | Light for Life Moderator: Ed Stocker, Monocle's Europe Editor-in-Chief WELCOME10.15 AMMaria Porro, President Salone del Mobile.Milano Carlo Urbinati, President Assoluce di FederlegnoArredo MASTERCLASS 10.30 am SunlightedMarjan van Aubel, Solar DesignerDiscover more 11.15 am Nutrirsi di luce (Nourish Oneself with Light)Stefano Mancuso, Plant Neurobiologist, Director International Laboratory of Plant Neurobiology, University of FlorenceDiscover more 12.15 amCreativity and the Transformative Power of DesignRobert Wilson, ArtistMaria Porro, President Salone del Mobile.MilanoDiscover more ROUND TABLE2.00 pmNicholas Belfield, Partner dpa lighting consultantsPiero Benvenuti, Professor Emeritus of Astrophysics at the University of PaduaRogier van der Heide, Lighting Designer Shelley James, Lighting Strategy Consultant, Director Age of Light InnovationsManuel Spitschan, Research Group Leader, Max Planck Institute for Biological Cybernetics & Professor of Chronobiology & Health, Technical University of MunichDiscover more WORKSHOP3.45 pm Transparency, Flexibility and SustainabilityAdrien de Lassence, Associate Director Sou Fujimoto Atelier ParisDiscover more Light for Spaces's guests: Marjan Van Aubel, Stefano Mancuso, Robert Wilson, Nicholas Belfield, Piero Benvenuti, Rogier Van der Heide, Shelley James, Manuel Spitschan, Adrien de Lassence 11th April | Light for Spaces Moderator: Ed Stocker, Monocle's Europe Editor-in-Chief WELCOME10.15 AMMaria Porro, President Salone del Mobile.Milano Carlo Urbinati, President Assoluce di FederlegnoArredo MASTERCLASS 10.30 am The Role of Light and Shadow in ArchitectureKaoru Mende, Lighting Designer Discover more 11.15 am LIGHT.
