Randa A. Mahmoud is an Architect–Urbanist and Dean of the College of Architecture and Design at Prince Sultan University. She holds a Ph.D. from the Institut d’Urbanisme de Paris and became Professor of Environmental Planning at Ain Shams University in 2023. Her professional experience includes serving as Senior Architect and Urban Planner at DAR, and as Head of Architecture at the French University of Egypt, where she launched a dual-degree program with INSA Strasbourg. Nominated in 2013 for the Aga Khan Award for Architecture, her research explores urban resilience, vernacular architecture, gentrification, and climate-responsive design.
