Road to Salone 2026: a tour to promote the 64th edition

Thursday, January 22nd, Salone del Mobile.Milano’s international tour officially starts in Berlin – inaugurating a series of stages that will take it to the world’s main creative districts to unveil what’s new in the upcoming 64th edition. The journey begins in the German capital, symbol of avant-garde taste and urban regeneration, to open up a conversation that this year will hinge on materials – as expressed in the “A Matter of Salone” communication campaign – with a return to matter as a live element, able to embody the memory and deepest origin of every design gesture.  

The photographic story by Motel409 showcases some of the most interesting talents in contemporary creativity: photographers Charles Negre, Eduard Sánchez Ribot and Alecio Ferrari, and set designers Studio Végété, Laura Doardo and Stilema Studio. 

The press tour’s goal is to consolidate the relationship with an international audience of journalists, opinion leaders, and professionals, by offering a preview of the updates that will bring life to the Rho Fiera Milano pavilions from April 21st to 26th. A central focus is placed on the début of Salone Raritas, an original exhibition endeavour dedicated to limited-edition design and high-end creative manufacturing, curated by Annalisa Rosso, Editorial Director & Cultural Events Advisor of Salone del Mobile, with the set up designed by Formafantasma.
