Milano-Cortina 2026: a new FederlegnoArredo’s Assarredo project embracing design and sport

To mark the Milano-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics and Paralympics, FederlegnoArredo’s Assarredo is bringing a project promoting the Italian excellence that unites design and sport to an international public. The Olympics are an opportunity to shine a light on the deep ties between these two worlds which represent Italy’s identity and prestige.   

Sport and design share universal values such as beauty, inclusion, unity and teamwork. Both entail care, technique and proven methodology; objectives are achieved with tenacity, trials, attention to detail and the ability to surpass oneself in the face of difficulties. Together, design and sport tell an Italian story made up of innovation and culture, in which every project and every goal become an expression of passion and the pursuit of perfection. 

This synergy is at the heart of FederlegnoArredo's Assarredo’s “Design Games. Teaming Up for Excellence” project. Studio Pupilla has designed a collection of visual assets available to members for communication purposes.  Window stickers, posters, flags, roll-ups, invitations, postcards, digital frames and animations are now available for download and use, along with a set of instructions for self-publishing. 

The project aims to boost the widespread presence of furnishing industry companies all over Italy, which make up a unique and precious body of knowledge, experience and beauty. The great stars of Italian design are known the world over, and the collective,  comprehensive representation of the sector during the Olympics will serve to convey the uniqueness of this all-Italian human and material heritage to an international audience.
