"The sustainable approach was to separate the materials and specify the components: wood, recycled feathers and fabric. Then I asked myself what comfort was, a backrest and a seat to sink into. I imagined a soft cloud fitting in a wooden structure."
The design for the FACILE came about as a result of our quest to build a bridge between the product ranges in the Mattiazzi collection.
The smooth geometry that joins the backrest, armrests and legs is the formal language of injection—molded plastic, and it’s surprising to see in wood.
The chair comes in two styles: a simple, more upright armchair, and the more luxurious lounge version with an extra legrest.
The gently carved wooden pieces are held in place by bent metal rods - while wood remains the main actor, the metal parts play a fundamental role in the construction.

MEDICI is conceived as a low chair with a comfortably reclined posture. Its generous dimension gives the chair an embracing confidence.
