2025 Salone del Mobile.Milano Press Conference

The Press Conference for the 63rd edition of the Salone del Mobile.Milano was held at the Piccolo Teatro Strehler on Tuesday, 4th February.
Moderated by Monica Maggioni, the main trade fair innovations were unveiled, discussed by Maria Porro, President of the Salone del Mobile.Milano and the protagonists of the next edition.
The Salone Internazionale del Mobile, the International Furnishing Accessories Exhibition, Workplace3.0, S.Project, Euroluce, and SaloneSatellite will all be laid out on the same, single level; aesthetic paths that are easy-to-follow and interpret, experiential spaces, and rest and relaxation areas will be defined; the Drafting Futures. Next Perspectives programme of Talks and Round Tables will feature international guests; there will be two site-specific installations at the fair – Paolo Sorrentino's La Dolce Attesa and Pierre-Yves Rochon's Villa Héritage, and the Corraini Bookshop, the Formafantasma Arena and the Salone Library will all be making their return, true to the Salone’s mantra of sustainability and circularity over the last few editions. In the city, the installation – Robert Wilson's Mother at the Museo Pietà Rondanini | Castello Sforzesco will be open to the public, while the Design Kiosk in Piazza della Scala will open on April 1st and will be the venue for meetings and presentations.
The biennial Euroluce (Pavilions 2-4), now in its 32nd edition, boasting 31,500 square meters of exhibition space, more than 300 international brands and 46.5 percent of participants from abroad, will be reaffirming its role as a central platform for lighting design. The future of the industry will be shaped by artificial intelligence, biophilic design and eco-friendly solutions, offering personalised and dynamic environments. This will all be discussed during the pioneering two-day event, The Euroluce International Lighting Forum, directed by Annalisa Rosso in collaboration with APIL, with a special focus on the increasingly central role of light in the integrated and sustainable design of public and private spaces, putting quality of life and the future of our planet at the centre. It will take place on 10th and 11th April in the arena designed by the Japanese architect Sou Fujimoto (Pavilion 2) and will host 20 international speakers, including experts in design, science and architecture. Notable names include Robert Wilson, Stefano Mancuso, Marjan van Aubel, Rogier van der Heide, Kaoru Mende, Patrick Rimoux, and DRIFT.
This year, we are again collaborating with the ITA – Italian Trade Agency, the government agency that supports the economic-commercial development of our companies abroad and promotes the attraction of foreign investment in Italy, in order to devise a set of strategic activities to stimulate the interest and participation of foreign professionals, buyers, architects, interior designers and journalists especially, in the various editions of the Salone. Once again this year, ITA has provided the Salone del Mobile.Milano with important and invaluable support to bring the largest number of qualified foreign professionals to Milan, testament to the country's need to work as a system for the benefit of businesses and territories.
We look forward to seeing you from 8th – 13th April 2025 at Fiera Milano, Rho
