next125 - A Vision

The name next125 comes from the metric grid size of 125mm and ensures that the working height, storage spaces and aesthetics are ideally optimised. With the grid—the height of a drawer to be specific—the components are perfectly compatible with one another. This flexible modularity results in a design language that is contemporary, straightforward and elegant with great emotional appeal.

Seven lead principles define the next125 brand and are part of every nex125 kitchen: Technology, Precision, Function, Creativity, Emotion, Reduction and Elegance.

The result is exceptionally elegant kitchens offering excellent value for money for quality and design-conscious customers in the mid and upper market segments. The next125 products have already been awarded a number of design prizes, such as the German Design Award or the Red Dot Award.

"The origin of the next125 brand goes back to a courageous decision. In questioning the norm, we created a completely novel product concept in 2001 with which we intended to drive forwards the development of kitchen design by a generation"

next125 x Francis Kéré

next125 is extremely proud to have allured to have allured thearchitectural pioneer Francis Kéré, Pritzker Prize winner 2022, to work together on a unique architecture and design project within the context of the Milan Design Week. The result is more than just an iconic campaign motif. It is a meeting place, "The Fireplace" that brings people together and shows how kitchens and architecture are directly linked.

"The Fireplace"

‘The Fireplace’ stands for a place of companionship which creates an emotional link to nature and the elements. Similar to the traditional fireplaces in Kéré’s homeland of Burkina Faso, next125 kitchens can be seen as meeting places full of warmth and conviviality where friends and family come together, cook together, exchange views and share emotions. ‘The Fireplace’ is inspiration in the form of a room, where the metaphorical spark can fly freely. Wood, which fuels fire and is a core material in the manufacturing of next125 kitchens, is a highly significant feature here.

The symbiosis of the worlds of Kéré and next125 results in a unique installation that plays on the coarseness of the wood and brings its natural properties to the fore. See for yourself in the Milan Superstudios from April 16th to 21st!
