MDEAR was born from Sebastian Herkner close observation of the natural world — specifically the soft, generous geometry of leaves, dunes and organic forms that curve without corners and rest without rigidity. For MDEAR URBAN, that same formal language was extended into new material territory, guided by two distinct sources of inspiration: the built environment of the city, and the way outdoor living itself has evolved.

Every form in the collection — the oval tables, the layered planters, every silhouette — follows this organic origin without compromise. No straight lines, no urban angularity, no concession to the geometry of architecture. The shapes remain soft, generous and entirely rooted in the world that inspired them. Outdoor living today extends well beyond the garden or the poolside. Rooftop terraces, urban courtyards, city hotel gardens — these spaces have become as central to contemporary life as any traditional outdoor setting, and they call for a material language that holds its own against architecture, that feels considered and permanent rather than temporary and decorative.
