A colorful community of dreamers

A Moody Earth statue can sit beside a Vivid Cloud lantern; a Meadow totem can gain a Cloud companion. The connector rings and base remain in black throughout, providing a consistent structural logic that makes every combination feel resolved rather than random. The result is a collection that each owner composes differently — a genuinely personal community.

A new internal acrylic tube now guides light through the full body of each lamp shade — from base to crown. The result is a more even, more luminous distribution of light, filling the woven structure more completely and making the characteristic warmth of THE OTHERS’ ambient glow richer and more consistent.

The new Smart Lumen LED system brings THE OTHERS into the connected outdoor space. Dimmable in eight steps via remote control, and now compatible with Matter smart home technology, the collection integrates naturally into any smart home ecosystem.

Three new fiber families — Meadow, Earth and Cloud — each expressed in two distinct moods. Vivid colorways pair the fiber with a Lipari colored frame: lighter, warmer, more open in character. Moody colorways pair the same fiber with a Black Pepper frame: darker, more graphic, with a stronger visual depth. The system gives six coherent colorways from three fiber palettes, and ensures that any combination of Vivid and Moody pieces across different fiber families remains visually intentional rather than accidental.

The concept began with a misreading — or rather, a response to one. Invited to develop a special project for exhibition in South Africa, Stephen Burks turned his attention to what he saw as the persistent misinterpretation of “places less known and their peoples.” The result was THE OTHERS: a collection conceived as an act of imagination and empathy, in which abstract figurative forms become characters with presence, personality and something to say.
