With a view to organising a sixtieth edition of the Salone del Mobile.Milano that fully reflects the importance of the event, the Board of Federlegno Arredo Eventi, in agreement with Fiera Milano, has elected to postpone the event, which will now take place from 7th to 12th June 2022.
Maria Porro, President of the Salone del Mobile.Milano 2022, had this to say: “The decision to postpone the event will enable exhibitors, visitors, journalists and the entire international furnishing and design community to make the very most of an event that promises to be packed with new things, in total safety. As well as celebrating a major anniversary, the event will focus on the theme of sustainability, acting as a showcase for the progress made in this regard by creatives, designers, and companies. Moving the event to June will ensure a strong presence of foreign exhibitors and professionals, which has always been one of the Salone’s strong points, and it will also give the participating companies time to plan their presence at the fair as thoroughly as possible given that, as we know, the progression from concept to final installation takes months of preparation. The desire for a Salone is increasingly strong, which is why we are working towards an event that will give everyone an opportunity to enjoy a unique, concrete, and exciting experience. We are all really longing for a Salone.”
The 60th edition of the Salone del Mobile.Milano will not just celebrating a big birthday but also focusing on the theme of sustainability, providing a backdrop for the progress made in this sphere by creatives, designers, and companies. An example of the Salone del Mobile’s determination to become a real driver of change, with honesty, commitment, and transparency. This will be achieved by focusing on quality and building a system with all the players involved, connecting people, initiatives, and activities throughout the process, and scientifically measuring all its activities as an exhibition organiser.

All available space at the 2022 Events is already sold out. The Salone Internazionale del Mobile, the International Furnishing Accessories Exhibition and Workplace3.0 will provide many and varied aesthetic pathways, in which the protagonists will be high quality, well researched and highly customisable products. At EuroCucina and the International Bathroom Exhibition, this responsibility will take the shape of avantgarde solutions for optimising water and energy consumption, while the proposed look will underscore the evolution of these spaces. The future will take centre stage at FTK (Technology For the Kitchen), in the form of new types of domestic appliance, marking a major step change in the built-in world towards efficient and sustainable Smart Kitchens. The keywords at S.Project, the exhibition devoted to design products and decorative and technical interior design solutions, will be vision, evolution and technology, as well as cross-cutting and multi-sector. An internationally renowned architect will curate a fluid and cross-cutting installation inside the space, for a reflection on the ways in which design and furnishing can help save the planet.
The theme at SaloneSatellite will be DESIGNING FOR OUR FUTURE SELVES / PROGETTARE PER I NOSTRI DOMANI. This edition will invite reflection on inclusive design, geared to boosting autonomy, comfort, movement, ease of use and safety for all.
