Pi is a bronze sculpture that inhabits a space as much as it serves it. Whether used as a side table, an occasional stool or a discreet stand, the object complements everyday life whilst defying any single definition. This ambiguity, characteristic of Xavier Lust’s work, is part of a creative process where form arises from a sign: Pi gives substance to a universal figure. Its name and silhouette evoke the number π, the infinite constant linking circumference and diameter, whose mathematical depth finds a sculptural expression here. A polymorphous object, it transforms depending on the viewpoint, the light or its use.
