Designer and art director Federica Biasi was born in 1989. After graduating from IED in 2011, she lived in the Netherlands for two years and studied Nordic design and emerging trends, developing an interest in aesthetic research and formal simplicity, which strongly influence her style. On returning to Italy, she set up her own studio in Milan in 2015, becoming a reference point for her approach to design with characteristic balanced synthesis of form and materials, without superfluous ostentation. Her creations are a combination of pleasant lines and well-balanced proportions, favouring muted colours and soft contours. The resulting elegance is reminiscent of Japanese design, highlighting an affinity for artisan crafting techniques.

“I like it when artisan style is transformed into an industrial product. I like to study the object and imagine the process that will make it accessible to everyone”
