«Quand on ne peut pas changer le monde,

il faut changer le décor.»

                                                    Daniel Pennac

For more than a century, Pozzoli has been to the masterpieces of the great cabinet makers of the past what a corps de ballet is to the works of Tchaikovsky or Stravinsky: the means to dazzle the world again.

POZZOLI, THE ART OF TRADITION

Giovanni Pozzoli settled in Cabiate in 1907, initially as an antique dealer. Very soon by is love for antiquity arose the desire to reproduce ancient masterpieces to give them new life. Quickly he stood out for the mastery of his professional skills and the excellence of its reproductions of period furniture. This earned him a reputation that extended beyond national confines and, in 1931, he received the Order of Merit for Work medal from King Victor Emmanuel III.

His son Celestino Pozzoli then took over the reins and his own personal talent soon make Pozzoli one of the world's most famous furniture manufacturers. His creative flair and enlightenment of style enabled him to design the first original Pozzoli models. He was also honoured by the Italian Republic which, in 1980, awarded him the title of Chevalier of the Order of Merit.

From now on, under the impulse of Fabio Romano Pozzoli, the company has combined the creation and reproduction of period furniture with the design of the settings in which it will be displayed. His creations are acknowledged, by now, as original works of art while the Pozzoli collections named 'classic’, having been gradually built up over more than a century, today number several thousand models of all styles.

It therefore comes as no surprise that Pozzoli furniture and accessories, rigorously all produced in the workshops of Cabiate and stamped with a lion standing proudly on his front paws, are today considered as the more important pieces of refined interior décor the world over.
