This year, MRF Group expands its palette with four new PVD finishes, available across all brands.
Each piece is crafted in solid brass, then nickel- and chrome-plated by electrolysis. PVD (Physical Vapour Deposition) is a vacuum process in which metal atoms are vaporised and condensed onto the surface of the piece as an ultra-thin layer. The chrome provides mechanical strength and corrosion resistance; the PVD deposits a hard ceramic layer that is chemically and UV stable, and faithfully follows the surface texture — bright surfaces stay bright, matt surfaces stay matt. The result is a finish of exceptional durability, with no alteration to colour or appearance over time.
Rosewood PVD
A warm copper tone with organic undertones, evoking rosewood. A quietly sophisticated presence.
Anthracite PVD
A deep, near-mineral grey that balances modernity with timelessness. It resonates particularly well with natural materials in dark or contrasting tones — obsidian, white marble, mother-of-pearl…
Nickel PVD
The visual appearance of electroplated nickel, without its drawbacks. Where traditional nickel is a so-called «living» finish, Nickel PVD retains its slightly warm silver tone whilst offering permanent surface stability.
Soft Gold PVD
A restrained gold with light, unshowy reflections. A contemporary alternative to traditional gilding, retaining all the elegance of precious metal without ostentation.
