Ops!

The Ops! seat, designed by the Archivolto studio, is produced in recycled polypropylene and, for the first time, also in recycled post-consumer plastic material from the recovery of food packaging such as Tetra Pak. An ambitious project, born from the desire to create a unique and versatile object, suitable for multiple applications and spaces, both indoor and outdoor, capable of establishing a harmonious dialogue between design and sustainability. The fresh design of Ops!, characterized by a sinuous and enveloping profile, is reflected in the innovation of the material it is made of: a new post-consumer recycled material, derived from the recovery of Tetra Pak, a material notoriously composed of paper, plastic, and aluminium. Thanks to the use of high-engineering techniques, it was indeed possible to develop a process for the recovery of polylaminate waste to create this new post-consumer material. An environmentally friendly seat, considering that to make one chair, xxx cartons of Tetra Pak-type material are recovered, thus recovering waste materials without sacrificing excellent structural, mechanical, and aesthetic qualities.

In addition to the innovative version in recycled Tetra Pak with sand colour finish, Ops! will also be available, with or without armrests, in 100% recycled polypropylene in white, black, hemp, dove, and earth colour variants.
