SANIHARTO - SUCUS Lounge Chair

Succulents, renowned for their ability to retain water in arduous environments through the thickening and fleshy engorgement of their plant parts, have inspired our innovative approach in designing the back and seat base of our lounge chair. By simplifying and reimagining these succulent characteristics into a substantial section, we have seamlessly integrated them into the chair's structure. To further enhance the connection to the cactus's essence, we have carefully selected a leather material that emulates the tactile surface of the actual plant. Deliberate adjustments have been implemented to prioritize the utmost comfort for the user, ensuring a harmonious balance between aesthetics and functionality.

Succulents, renowned for their ability to retain water in arduous environments through the thickening and fleshy engorgement of their plant parts, have inspired our innovative approach in designing the back and seat base of our lounge chair.

Cacti manifest in a diverse array of shapes and sizes. Some boast thickened, succulent portions adapted for water storage, while others shed their true leaves, retaining only spines that have evolved from modified leaves. Additionally, cactus branches, known as areoles, give rise to tubular and multipetaled flowers.

Although the term "cactus" is sometimes misapplied to various spiny stem succulents, these plants are closely related. Generally, cacti possess few or no leaves.

Among the materials we employ for design development, bronze and brass hold great value. Not only are they durable and resistant to nature's forces, but brass is also renowned for its antibacterial properties, effectively disinfecting numerous types of bacteria within 8 hours.

Natural stone, often referred to as marble, is an integral part of our collection. Symbolizing opulence, solidity, and strength, its creation mirrors the evolutionary process of the cactus spanning millions of years—from leaf to thorn and the thickening of stem walls, all to minimize moisture evaporation stored within.

With meticulous attention to texture and color, we carefully select materials that evoke a soft touch and yield excellent results. Tweed-textured fabric has been chosen to accentuate the distinct character of each piece, while the harmonious blend of colors unifies the collection.

This amalgamation of organic and non-organic elements culminates in our "Cactaceae Collections," a series of loose items that embody the essence of these resilient plants.
