Jean-Philippe Bonnefoi is Aesop’s Head of Retail Design for Europe, and Global Head of Innovation. He trained as an architect at École Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture de Paris-Malaquais before joining Aesop nearly 14 years ago. During his tenure with the company, he has worked across Retail, Visual Merchandising and Store Design.
In addition to leading a team of internal architects and project managers in Europe, Jean-Philippe has collaborated with more than 40 external architects—including Vincent van Duysen, Luca Guadagnino and Snøhetta— on Aesop store design projects across the globe. Simultaneously, Jean-Philippe drives Global Store Design innovations across the Americas, Asia, Australia and Europe, exploring and implementing architectural developments, retail excellence and new offerings in customer service. His passion and rigour have led to design and service outcomes that exceed expectations across the retail industry.
Jean-Philippe was born in the South of France, raised in the French Alps and is currently based in Paris.
