TESSUTO

The concept of TESSUTO, conceived and designed by Marco Pisati, is based on the idea of being able to have through an industrial process serial copy of the product, each slightly different from the original, to have always unique pieces. The idea starts from a reflection on some works by Andy Warhol, where serial repetitions of the matrix image intentionally present small defects that make them not mere photocopies but different and therefore unique copies.

The solution to this idea is linked to the design of the element which, repeatedly assembled, forms the radiator. The design is deliberately asymmetrical, made up of grooves and flat parts. The element thus drawn, rotated by 180°, presents a different design as it is specular. During assembly in the factory, the elements, rotated or not, will be deliberately assembled randomly, resulting in infinite rhythms and designs.

Each produced TESSUTO is therefore unique, the image is always like the original, but the rhythm is always different.

TESSUTO, from an aesthetic point of view, was born from a reflection on the textures of the fabrics and from the desire to reproduce the wrap on the surface of a vertical radiator.

The project was born almost simultaneously with an interesting system of minimalist accessories; shelves and towel bars that become one with the product itself. The sign that characterizes them is the extreme lightness linked to the use of very small sections.

Designer, fascinated by new materials and new technologies, tests his ideas in the most extreme sectors: starting from the aerospace, designing interiors bound to the concept of space habitability in absence of gravity for the ASI (Italian Space Agency), reaching the earth’s "nomadic" one, realizing the first example of interactive nomadic office (motorhome ACI).

Invited to expose his works at Leopolda Exposition in Florence ("Deep Inside"- Image) he presented with the company Grado Zero Espace, leading brand in the aerospace textile branch, a prototype of a jacket for astronauts in Diaplex (a tissue with a memory of shapes). His experimental design approach leads him to have very different companies as partners.

At the end of 2020, the Tessuto® radiator is presented, his new project created for Cordivari Design, which immediately stands out for its technical and design contents and for the innovative solutions that make it a product capable of enhancing the best architectural projects interior.
