When Baron Pierre de Coubertin, founder of the modern Olympic Games, conceived the flag with the famous 5 circles, he wanted it to be a symbol, representing an ideal of universal friendship between the continents. He wanted the Games not to be just competition but a celebration of the spiritual encounter between different cultures.
This is where our story begins: on 11 of March 2020, the WHO officially declares the state of a pandemic with its grey areas and its painful legacies. The project for the Winter Olympics to be held in Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo in 2026 gives us a project for the future and food for thought. The "Olimpia" collection is a tribute to the hope that Coubertin imagined for the Games: humanity that recognizes itself in union and at the same time a bearer of beauty. A succession of multi-coloured concentric circles follows one another in a delicate transparency, finished by platinum rings, all hand painted like every collection.
