ST is a 3.2-meter-long table with solid wood top. The name was inspired by the beauty of the Seto Inland Sea, the sheet of water separating three of the four main islands of Japan.
ST is a 3.2 meter-long table with solid wood top. The name was inspired by the beauty of the Seto Inland Sea, the sheet of water separating three of the four main islands of Japan. One of these islands, Honshu, welcomes Hiroshima the city that gave name to another collection of Fukasawa. As the designer explains “The resonance of the word ST and the fact that the word represents the calm sea compelled me to yell out 'eureka!' ”
Product description
The table finds its distinctive character in the clear and simple lines. Its exquisitely crafted spacious tabletop with rounded edges harmonizes with the subtly soft contours and with the wooden legs, creating a single flowing line. The interplay of light and shadow on the wide top provides an interesting contrast and further highlights the natural beauty of wood. The result is an exclusive wooden table with an elegant structure, suitable in a wide variety of settings such as domestic spaces, or as a meeting table in offices or in various public locations. ST is available in various sizes, walnut or oak wood, with different finishes.
