During Milan Design Week 2026, the Starbucks store on Via Durini in Milan is hosting a special project that combines design, creativity, and the reuse of materials. At the heart of this initiative is coffee—not just as a beverage, but as a material. Coffee grounds, in fact, are collected and transformed into a new material, used to create furniture and design objects found inside the store. The project stems from a collaboration between Starbucks Italia, SLIDE, Krillmat, and Favaretto & Partners, and offers a different way of looking at everyday life: what is normally considered waste can become a resource and give life to something new.

Bontempi Essentials is a project of urban activations conceived for the Milano Design Week, transforming the Bontempi showroom into a space for welcome and connection. Through simple yet meaningful objects, the brand presents design as a daily gesture—accessible and human. From April 21 to 24, each day features an exclusive gift by Bontempi. Gifts will be available upon registration on the website or by scanning the QR code at the entrance of the Flagship Store, while supplies last.

Curated by Nina Yashar, Nilufar Grand Hotel turns Nilufar Depot into an immersive environment where collectible design redefines the art of hospitality. The exhibition recreates an imaginary hotel, seamlessly blending vintage, contemporary, and Nilufar Edition pieces into a cohesive scenography. Here, objects become the hotel’s true residents, inhabiting a realm unbound by time or geography. From the reception area to the lounge and the signature rooms by david/nicolas, Filippo Carandini, and Allegra Hicks, each space contributes to the hotel’s broader metaphor. Kartell's Room tell the everyday story of our lives through the objects that inhabit it, designed to make life more beautiful, positive, and meaningful.
