Salone del Mobile Milano

Design Walks Through Venice

Salone del Mobile.Milano and Matteo Garrone land at Venice

As a result of the long-standing collaboration between Salone del Mobile and MDFF (Milano Design Film Festival), the two short films Before Design: Classic (7’, 2016) and DeLightFuL  (9’30’’, 2017) will be shown in loop in a frescoed room of historic Palazzo Morosini Gatterburg. The two short films were presented by award-winning director Matteo Garrone, under the artistic direction of Studio Ciarmoli Queda, at the 55th and 56th edition of Salone del Mobile.Milano. The screenings are an integral part of the Design After Darwin: Adapted to Adaptability exhibit which in turn is part of the widespread Venetian design exhibition Design.ve – Design Walks Through Venice, curated by Luca Berta, Francesca Giubilei and Alice Stori Liechtenstein.

An unmissable opportunity for the international furnishing showcase to represent the excellence of Italian design, which harnesses tradition, innovation, craftsmanship, style and passion.

Before Design: Classic, made as an integral part of the exhibition of the same name conceived by Simone Ciarmoli and Miguel Queda for the 2016 edition of the Salone del Mobile.Milano takes a look at classic, crosscutting and timeless furniture, illustrating the concept of beauty handed down across the different eras.

DeLightFuL, again an integral part of the homonymous project that takes a look at the world of design and on contemporary life, with furnishing pieces and people moving against a background of fantastical atmospheres project in an environment that is both natural and dreamlike, magical and surreal, the film.
